Ghana’s Eric Appiah scores for Olympiakos Nicosia in win over Onisilos

Ghana forward Eric Appiah scored for Olympiakos Nicosia in their win over Achyronas Onisilos on Wednesday, December 20.

Appiah, 22 years old, netted the winning goal for his team as they claimed a 2-1 win Cyprus Division Two League round 13 game.

Columbia forward Camilo Triana opened the scoring for the visiting team after stepping up to convert a penalty with four minutes remaining in the first half.

The goal from the 27-year old was the difference as Olympiakos Nicosia led Achyronas Onisilos 1-0 at the break.

After the recess, the game became an evenly contested contest as the home side were fighting to get the equaliser.

The Ghanaian forward then gave his team breathing space by scoring their second goal in the game after 79 minutes to make it 2-0 for Olympiakos Nicosia.

There was some joy for the home crowd after Adi Alic netted a consolation goal for Achyronas Onisilos five minutes after Eric Appiah doubled the lead for Olympiakos Nicosia to end the game 2-1.
